Privacy
SplurgeIt is an independent product-discovery preview from Paraibis Global Trade Solutions. Listings link to public retailer or product destinations. The current catalogue contains editorial links, not fictional products for sale on SplurgeIt.
My Picks uses browser-local storage to retain saved item identifiers on this device. No account is created, and no payment or reward entry is taken. Clear saved picks in the app or remove this site's storage in your browser.
Some cards load product illustrations or photographs from Wikimedia Commons or Unsplash, which may receive an ordinary request from your browser when the image is displayed. Product videos load from YouTube only when you select Play or opt in to optional automatic video previews. At that point YouTube may receive your browser/network information and apply its terms and privacy practices, including in privacy-enhanced mode. You can instead open the video directly on YouTube from the credited source link.
Optional product research is OFF by default. If you opt in, this preview stores per-product presentation, Yes/No, video-open and verified-playback indicators only in browser-local storage. No research events are transmitted by the preview. You may export or erase this data without affecting My Picks. Clicking Play may contact YouTube, subject to their terms and privacy practices, even if no research opt-in is given.
When you follow a retailer/source link, you leave SplurgeIt and become subject to the destination's policies. The website may process basic request information for delivery and security. The public service may use Cloudflare. Contact info@paraibis.com for privacy requests or questions.
External video preview images
Some product video cards load preview thumbnails from YouTube (i.ytimg.com). Loading these images contacts YouTube and may disclose technical request data such as your IP address. The video player loads when you press Play, or when you have separately enabled optional automatic video previews and the product is visible. Our optional on-device video study remains off until you explicitly opt in.
Optional automatic video previews
Automatic previews are off by default; sound is never enabled automatically on arrival and resets on each page visit. When enabled on this device, the current product video may load from YouTube and begin inline muted playback, or attempt playback with sound only after you press Enable video with sound during the current visit while its card is visible. Switching products, hiding the tab, or moving away pauses or stops playback. YouTube can receive network information and apply its own privacy policies. You can turn autoplay off at any time. Browser rules may block audible autoplay even after activation; Play at source remains available. The optional local video presentation experiment is paused while autoplay previews are enabled.
